Belgravia in Bloom returns to celebrate RHS Chelsea

Following the success of the first Belgravia in Bloom in 2016, celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday, Belgravia in Bloom is back for a second year with a six-day floral festival celebrating children’s books.

The festival coincides with the Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show and will be taking inspiration from iconic books such as Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, The Jungle Book, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

All businesses and residents in Belgravia are encouraged to get involved by decorating their shop fronts, windows and front door with floral displays.

Uniting the streets and creating a stunning floral walkway with different takes on the theme and intriguing events around every turn, Belgravia in Bloom is the perfect destination in which to celebrate spring in the city. Walking maps will be available from all local retailers with details and locations.

There will also be a number of competitions run by Grosvenor to to award those with the best floral displays. There will be an award for the best themed display and a fan’s favourite winner, with the opportunity for the public to vote for their favourite on social media.

Grosvenor have already confirmed a long list of retailers taking part including Rococo Chocolate, who will be creating a display inspired by the children’s book James and The Giant Peach. The Hakin will be creating a display inspired by Paddington Bear and childrenswear boutique La Stupenderia will be hosting younger Belgravia in Bloom guests at a daily children’s book reading at 4pm each day.

Belgravia in Bloom will run from Monday 22nd May to Saturday 27th May, 2017.
