Royal Gardens at Highgrove Tours now booking
Bookings for Highgrove Gardens are now open for individuals, Champagne Tea tours and groups. April to October 2017 dates have now been released for selected days.
It is now more than 30 years since the Duchy of Cornwall bought Highgrove in Gloucestershire and HRH The Prince of Wales made the Estate his home. Today, the garden unfolds in a series of highly personal and inspiring tableaux, each reflecting the Prince’s interests and enthusiasms and are maintained to the strictest sustainable principles.
Garden tours are led by one of Highgrove’s expert guides and take two-hours during which visitors can explore the breadth and width of the gardens. From the wonderful Thyme Walk to the otherworldly Stumpery – a rich habitat for a variety of wildlife – you get a distinctive feel for this garden and there seems to be a surprise round every corner. The Cottage Garden was certainly my favourite with its planting scheme designed by The Prince and the late Rosemary Verey OBE.
After a tour visitors can enjoy refreshments in the Orchard Restaurant and visit the Estate Shop. A variety of plants are also on sale as well as a selection of gardening tools and accessories.
Highgrove Garden Tour Gift Vouchers are also available, the perfect present for someone who loves gardens.
A variety of events takes place at Highgrove during the year from workshops and black tie dinners to special tour packages with experts available in such areas as topiary, wildlife and beekeeping.
Since bookings opened for 2017 tickets are selling fast, so to avoid disappointment visit https://www.highgrovegardens.com/ to book your tour.
