The Society of Garden Designers (SGD) has launched a new website ahead of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The new site will give visitors a more user-friendly experience with a comprehensive section tailored to those looking for a professional garden designer.

Visitors will be able to search the Society’s database to find a garden designer locally or nationally by name, postcode or region. The website also offers useful advice on how to work with a garden designer, news about designers, events and links to easy-to-use contracts for those looking to embark on a garden project.

For those considering a career in garden design, the website now includes a new Student section in the ‘Industry Zone’ of the site offering advice on how to find a course and college listings.

All the garden designers listed on the site are fully Registered Members of the Society, which means they have passed the SGD’s adjudication process and been in business for at least three years.

The website will be available to view on the Society’s stand at RHS Chelsea Flower Show (Stand EA12) where visitors will also be able to see a wide variety of SGD Members’ work on a built-in screen, wall poster displays and a portfolio within the exhibit.

The SGD has been championing excellence in garden design for over 30 years and counts some of the UK’s leading garden and landscape designers among its growing membership. Active both nationally and internationally, the SGD promotes its aims through its journal, workshops, seminars and conferences as well as the annual SGD Awards scheme.
