SGD 2019 Spring Conference live-streaming

If you are unable to get to the 2019 Society of Garden Designers (SGD) Spring Conference on 27th April, 2019, all is not lost as the conference will be available via live-streaming and on-demand for the first time.

Taking place at the Royal Geographical Society in London, the conference will feature a first-class line-up of speakers from the worlds of garden design, research and horticulture to explore the topic: “Sex in the Garden – flowers, fruit & foraging“.

Subscribers to the live-streaming service will be able to watch the conference, as it happens, live from central London, in the comfort of their own home or office.

You can watch it individually or in groups for a discounted rate and subscribers will have access to the conference footage for a period of 12 months while recorded sessions will also be available to download via an on-demand archive after the event.

Chief Operating Officer at the SGD, Craig Moyes, said: “We’re delighted to be able to bring the SGD conference to a wider audience via a live-feed and on-demand service for the first time, allowing members who are unable to make the journey to London or for whom the date poses a challenge.” Craig points out that every year there are people who want to come along but who can’t make it so to be able to expand the audience in this way and give more people the opportunity to listen to the incredible speakers taking part is really exciting.

This year, speakers at the conference include fragrance & sensory research scientist Emma Desmier, French ecologist Olivier Filippi and naturalistic garden designer Noel Kinsbury. The inspirational garden leaders behind West Dean Gardens, Jim Buckiland & Sarah Wain will also be taking park as well as Michael Marriot, world-renowned rose expert and Henrik Sjöman, scientific curator of the Gothenburg Botanical Garden.
