Online provider to offer RHS gardening qualification (formerly MyGardenSchool) have become a Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) approved distance learning provider for the RHS Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Horticulture.

The two certificates: Principles of Plant Growth, Propagation and Development and Principles of Garden Planning, Establishment and Maintenance provide a firm grounding in the fundamentals of horticulture. The certificates provide theory-based qualifications to help learners by assessing their knowledge of the principles which underpin horticultural practices and prepare students for the RHS Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Horticulture qualification.

Those who successfully complete all the necessary units for both level 2 theory based qualifications, will be awarded the RHS Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Horticulture when they pass their exam (total 28 credits, which equates to 280 learning hours).

Once students pass the two theory sections of the course, tutors, Hilary Thomas and Dr Noel Kingsbury, prepare you for the final written exam, which will be taken at an RHS exam centre near you. (These are held in February and June each year.)
