The Belmond RHS Chatsworth garden

Belmond is delighted to announce its participation in the inaugural Royal Horticultural Society Chatsworth Flower Show (7th to 11th June 2017) with a show garden designed by Butter Wakefield.

The Belmond Enchanted Gardens‘ will be an immersive garden experience that takes inspiration from Belmond’s legendary locations. The surprise of a poetic staircase to go wherever the imagination desires with the promise of genuine hospitality for all the garden visitors, from first light to moonlight.

The garden perfectly fits with the new Show’s ethos of blending tradition with unexpected, innovative design – the very essence of Belmond’s portfolio of landmark hotels, great train journeys and pioneering river cruises to some of the world’s most inspiring locations.

Reflecting the spirit of Belmond, where culture and nature live together with a story to tell, the design draws inspiration from the company’s many exceptional gardens around the world, from the legendary Belmond Hotel Cipriani’s Casanova Gardens to the Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons’, beautifully landscaped organic plots.

Commenting on the Belmond Enchanted Gardens, Arnaud Champenois, SVP of Brand & Marketing, Belmond, said: “The Belmond garden at Chatsworth is the perfect setting to bring our brand to life. In a world obsessed with speed, Belmond creates authentic escapes that encourage our guests to celebrate and reconnect with what matters most in life. The Belmond Enchanted Gardens invite guests to immerse themselves in a beautifully designed space full of adventure, reflection and celebration.”

Commenting on her garden design, Butter Wakefield said she was thrilled to be designing a garden for the first ever RHS Chatsworth Show: “Belmond Enchanted Gardens will be viewed in two parts; the first, which surrounds a spiral staircase, conveys a sense of enchantment and celebration through its uncontrived naturalistic planting,” she said. “Beyond this is a space that features practical planting from around the world of Belmond, with heritage produce, herbs, vegetables and flowers,” continued Butter.

Belmond is offering guests the chance to travel to the show on board their two luxury day trains. Belmond British Pullman departs from London on 7th June, 2017, and Belmond Northern Belle departs from Preston, Bolton and Manchester on 9th June, 2017.
